Melding her Midwestern sensibility with two decades as a Savannahian, she has built a reputation as the prominent Southern photographer and writer.
Raised in Cleveland, Ohio, her career began in The School of Journalism at The Ohio State University. It was in this season that she became a photojournalist; learning the art of storytelling, true connection with people and the patience necessary to create a striking photograph and then sharing the image with her soulful words of observation.
Relocating to Georgia coast twenty some years ago, Donna has worked with many of the South’s foremost businesses and families, marking milestones and telling stories with her imagery and written word.
In the fall of 2024, Donna is premiering her podcast, Laying Fallow, about the high school class of 2020 and how they created lives after a year of nothingness.
